What is a ETC Ambassador?

An ETC Ambassador is a passionate advocate who helps expand Ethereum Classic’s global visibility. From anywhere in the world, ambassadors spread ETC’s vision to new users, developers, students, builders, and communities.
ETC Ambassadors act as local representatives of Ethereum Classic—creating content, growing communities, hosting events, and empowering others to understand and use ETC. We’re looking for individuals with strong communication skills, a commitment to the Proof-of-Work ethos, and a desire to make a lasting impact in the blockchain world.

Rules & Incentives

The ETC Ambassador Program is built on the principles of long-term motivation and healthy competition. It offers a transparent, fair, and sustainable framework for ambassadors to grow and contribute. While EGD provides strategic direction and support, ambassadors are given full autonomy in executing their initiatives.

Core Guidelines

  • All ambassadors begin with a one-month probation period. Upon successful completion, they become eligible to redeem ETC through accumulated points.

  • Monthly contribution reports must be submitted by the 7th of each month, with evaluations completed by the 21st.

  • Ambassadors who fail to earn a minimum of 5 points for two consecutive months will be automatically removed from the program.

  • Misconduct—such as inappropriate behavior, falsifying reports, or exploiting the program for personal gain—will result in immediate disqualification and public notice.

Rewards & Incentives

  • Ambassadors earn points by completing assigned tasks. Each point is equivalent to 1 ETC (subject to quarterly review).

  • In addition to regular tasks, EGD introduces quarterly sprint challenges, offering bonus rewards for top performers.

  • For ambassadors who organize standout events, the follower growth in the 1–2 weeks following the event will be attributed to their impact. The assessment window will vary based on the event’s scale and nature.

Recognition & Honors

  • Each quarter, the top-performing ambassador will be named “Top Ambassador” and receive: a. “Wall of Honor” on the EGD website b. Public recognition via EGD Twitter account c. A choice between a WDMS conference ticket or an exclusive ambassador gift box d. Student ambassadors will also receive an official recommendation letter from ETC Grants Dao e. Student ambassadors named “Top Ambassador” four times or more will qualify for a referral to full-time or internship positions at BITMAIN

  • Achievement Badges: Ambassadors who reach key milestones will unlock digital badges recognizing their contributions in areas such as outreach, community growth, recruitment, and content creation. Badges include: Outreach Champion/Community Pioneer/Growth Star/Content Leader. Ambassadors who earn all badges will receive a special edition Ambassador Gift Box.
